Audio collage

Eric A. Peacock-Audio Work

I've been a musician since I was a kid. When I was 16 I began to get into producing my own soundscapes that were played out of sculptures with built in speakers. Originally ten minute loops these quickly become full-length cassettes that stood on their own. As I progressed into college I studied audio production in both analog and digital studios while slowly building up my own studio and releasing CDs. Around this I studied music from all over the world-and I was changed forever. More information on my musical half is at a completely different looking sub-site here.

I've done soundtracks for several films and installations as well as many unused conceptual sound effects for video games and entertainment. I've always found my best work to be in the sound track realm, especially if I can get a rough cut and start playing to it in real time. It's important to play to the visuals since to me my music is always peripheral to a visual concept. I tend to think that within film and animation the audio is half the experience and therefore deserves this kind of attention.
