Every Macintosh I have owned has had at least some cosmetic OS modification. In this case, I had just purchased my PowerMac 8500/120 and quickly grew tired of the "Welcome to Mac OS" startup, so I used the video in to capture myself and created this image. Sometimes, purely as a joke, I go by the moniker "Erogenous" Peacock, hence the title. Self portraits are always fun, though this one was difficult since the resolution of the video capture on the built in digitizer is limiting. I used a lot of processing in photoshop to reduce the grainy quality of myself and mostly ended up saturating the image. Still, I thought this was kind of fun and I still use it today. The "PowerPC" logo was appropriated from a startupscreen on a shareware CD-ROM.
