ANY non-standards compliant web browser such as Netscape Communicator 4.x or Internet Explorer 3.x or earlier will be prevented from accessing the CSS code that contains the design of the site. It just isn't possible to support older browsers that do not adhere to web standards, but the site is still available to them without breaking and well, it won't look as cool. But the content is more important isn't it?
It is better to think and develop to a standard than to continue to support unsupported or proprietary browser technologies that no longer receive developer updates. Even more to the point, I cannot afford to make multiple versions of this site for each and every device that does not support the correct markup.
More information can be found at the web standards browser upgrade page.
